COVINGTON — Betty Lou Everson, 80, Covington, died at 4:37 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007 in Provena United Samaritan Medical Center Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. She was born Thursday, April 22, 1926 in Covington, the daughter of Harold and Bertha (VanLeer) McClure. She married James G. Everson Jan. 10, 1951. He survives. She was a homemaker and a resident of Covington most of her life. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Survivors, besides the husband, include: a son, Junior (Brenda) Everson, Covington; two daughters, B. Dorene Barnhart, Crawfordsville and Carolyn Sue (Bill) Lindquist, Bloomingdale; a sister, Helen Maynard, Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Clarence “Squirt” McClure, Veedersburg; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons-in-law, Donald Hegg and Mike Barnhart. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Paul Kent officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington. – jlr
